Murad urges naval chief to employ fishermen’s children

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah congratulated new Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M. Amjad Khan Niazi on Monday and suggested to him to provide job opportunities to children of fishermen in Pakistan Navy.

The chief minister said that it was an honour for the people of the province that the chief of Pakistan Navy belonged to Sanghar district. “Your appointment is a source of inspiration for our young generation who are keen to join the forces, particularly Pakistan Navy,” he said while exchanging views with the naval chief who called on him at CM House.

The naval chief shared experiences of his early life and struggle in Sanghar with the chief minister and said he would try to serve people of his native district. On this, the chief minister urged him to help the provincial government establish a cadet college or make Sanghar Cadet College into a seat of excellence. The chief assured the chief minister of his full support.

The chief minister proposed that the children of fishermen should be given employment opportunities in Pakistan Navy.

The Naval chief appreciated the proposal and assured the chief minister of developing a system under which fishermen could be provided jobs.

The chief minister proposed the naval chief should help in creating recreational activities at different jetties and small islands located from Karachi to Keti Bandar and the naval chief assured the chief minister that the proposal would be worked out in the larger interest of the nation.
