Pakistan has been fighting a battle of its survival against hardcore Taliban terrorists in Tribal belt and after operation Zarb.e.Azb, it has successfully cleared most of the area. Operation Zarb.e.Az has pushed terrorist to the walls and a complete lull from Taliban shows that they are rapidly losing capacity to strike back. Apart from Tribal belt, rangers have also launched an intensive operation against criminal elements in Karachi and number of culprits has been arrested. However Balochistan is also facing the same problem and the severity of this issue has come into light after brazen killing of 20 labors in Balochistan thus in order to quell militancy, Pakistan has decided to expand the canvas of operation to Balochistan. Sources privy to the development told The Express Tribune that Operation Zarb-e-Azb might be expanded to Balochistan to fight against Baloch insurgents as well. The meeting came days after a sickening orgy of bloodshed played out in a remote town of southern Balochistan on April 11 when 20 construction workers were methodically massacred in a predawn attack on their camp near Turbat city in Kech district of Balochistan. Meanwhile “Security forces with the help of secret agencies have launched the massive search operation in and around Turbat.
This decision has raised many questions. First would it be right to launch operation in a lad whose inhabitants are already angry to state for allegedly depriving Balochis of their due rights? Second, against whom this operation would be launched? Whether it would be launched against independent fighters alone or indiscriminately against terrorists of all hues and colors including Jaish ul-Adl? If it is only against independence fighters, it would be of no use because Jaish ul Adl is main terrorist group that is destabilizing the province.
