Asif Ali Zardari’s displeasure of the government might have borne fruit as the government ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to step down and halt the arrest of former PM Yousuf Raza Gillani, reported Dunya News.
The government has started back-channel diplomacy and as a sign of good faith has stopped the arrest of Yousuf Raza Gillani. The claim was made during Dunya News’ show “Kamran Khan k Sath”. The show had previously exposed corruption of more than 100 billion rupees by Yousuf Raza Gillani and Amin Fahim.
Talking on the show, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that Nawaz Sharif is used to not delivering on his word. He said that those who allege that Pakistan People’s Party has links with terrorists are themselves linked with such company.
