Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz on Tuesday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz hinted at going abroad.

Talking to media in Lahore on Tuesday, he asked why do they suffer from diseases which are not treated in Pakistan.

The minister said the government will not allow Maryam Nawaz to go abroad at any cost as her father Nawaz Sharif went abroad for treatment and started politics from the Britain.

Shibli Faraz went on to say that travel documents, instead of passport, will be issued to Nawaz Sharif for his return back to the homeland.

“We cannot help a fugitive by renewing his passport,” he said and added it is not possible for us to become facilitators and for Nawaz Sharif to go elsewhere.

Regarding Senate election, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to end the politics of money whereas horse-trading was promoted in the past. “Imran Khan has always been of the view that Senate elections should be transparent.”

The information minister said misuse of vote will be prevented and merit will be ensured, adding that the final list of the PTI s candidates for the Senate elections will be completed this evening.
