Police acting in accordance with law over arrest of Haleem Adil: Murtaza Wahab

Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab has said that opposition leader Haleem Adil Sheikh was a named accused in the FIR. Police are acting in accordance with the law.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said that if anyone violates election laws, should the police remain silent. No minister was allowed to campaign in the Malir election. They are using constitutional positions to discredit the police.

Murtaza Wahab said that the Election Commission had written a letter to SSP Malir informing him about Haleem Adil Sheikh s visit to the polling stations while armed.

It is the responsibility of the government official to implement the orders of the Election Commission.

The Sindh government spokesman said that the police knew that Haleem Adil Sheikh would make false accusations, so they kept him in the room. He said ten people came to meet him. If the police was against him how could they have met him.
