Though the war is being fought in Yemen, yet focus of the Gulf countries, Iran and the world is at Pakistan. Americans who has been supporting Saudia also want Pakistan to join this war. According to tribune” US Secretary of State John Kerry called rung up Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss the worsening crisis in the Arabian Peninsula. The top American foreign policy wizard is said to have encouraged Premier Nawaz to play an active role in resolving the Yemen conflict” Secretary Kerry’s phone call came a day after Premier Nawaz said that his country would intensify efforts to find a diplomatic solution. The phone call shows that US wants Pakistan to jump into another fray. In 1979 Pakistan fought US proxy war in Afghanistan, which is now reflecting back on us. Pakistan was left high and dry by the ‘friends’ to clean the mess it was driven into. Pakistan paid and has been paying the price of that war since last three decades. Later US pushed Pakistan into war on terror which brought Pakistan to its feet. Pakistan lost 55,000 individuals and almost 5,000 soldiers in this war. It also caused a downfall of Pakistan economy and completely radicalized the complete society. After a long time Pakistan has been returning to normalcy and now once again US wants Pakistan to fight another proxy which shows US never wanted a stable Pakistan. The question is that whether Pakistan could resist US pressure or not? If not, Pakistan would descent into another chaos and its several upcoming generations would reap the fruit.
