Shafaqna Pakistan: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has on Friday temporarily blocked all social media platforms in the country.

According to the PTA notification, Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp, YouTube, Telegram and other apps have been blocked from 1100hrs to 1500hrs on April 16, 2021 across the country.

It is pertinent here to mention that internet service was suspended in some areas of Lahore on Thursday as well due to protest in the provincial capital. The PTA sources told that the step was taken after anti-government content was uploaded.

On the other hand, citizens faced problems due to the suspension of internet.
