Punjab government provides 15 more ventilators to LGH

Government has provided 15 more ventilators to Lahore General Hospital to alleviate relief measures in the current situation of corona and the pressure on hospitals, which will be a sigh of relief for the patients suffering from Corona epidemic.

Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof. Dr. Sardar Muhammad Al-freed Zafar while talking in this regard told that this initiative will be helpful in providing relief to the patients suffering from critical condition as timely transfer of patients to ventilator increase the chances of recovery.

He appreciated that the Government has taken very positive and timely step in this regard which will decrease the pressure of corona patients in LGH. Principal PGMI further told that more than 2,000 patients visit the Emergency Department daily for treatment and in present circumstances a special counter has been set up to check their blood pressure and temperature where medical staff is also deployed 24 hours a day.

In order to save the citizens from unnecessary mental anguish and anxiety, he further said that most of the patients have suspected cases of corona which are referred to the concerned department for further treatment.

Prof. Al-freed Zafar said that there should be no doubt that the third wave of corona is more dangerous and serious than the past which doctors, nurses and paramedical staff will deal with their professional work, In Sha Allah.

He said that on the directions of CM Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar and Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmeen Rashid, special resources are being provided for the patients affected by corona, but along with the activities being carried out in the hospitals, the citizens must also ensure implementation of safety measures.

Prof. Al-freed appealed that apart from Government we should protect ourselves and stay away from the danger of corona ourselves and get free vaccination facility as early as possible.

On this occasion, MS Dr. Abdul Razaq, Dr. Laila Shafiq, Dr. Sheeraz Niazi, Anwar Sultana, Sadaf Rafiq, Hafiza Kulsoom, Amina, Rana Pervez and others were also present.
