Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar on Thursday set up high-level committee to liaise with political parties regarding the establishment of a parliamentary committee for electoral reform, Dunya News reported.
The Prime Minister had written a letter to the Speaker to set up a parliamentary committee for electoral reforms. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has formed a committee to hold talks with the opposition parties.
The five-member committee will hold talks with opposition parties regarding electoral reforms. The committee includes Pervez Khattak, Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar, Babar Awan and Malik Amir Dogar.
According to sources, the committee will play a role in building consensus among all parliamentary parties for electoral reforms.
