Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected plea of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) asking the commission to nullify PP-38 by-election.
The seat of PP-38 fell vacant after the death of PML-N MPA Chaudhry Khush Akhtar Subhani.
Regarding the case, a two-member bench announced the reserved verdict today, which announced the rejection of PMLN’s plea to nullify the by-elections for PP-38.
It is pertinent to note that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Chaudhry Ahsan Saleem Baryar had won the by-election with a margin of over 7000 votes.
Baryar came out on top with 60,588 votes, while Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate came in second place with 53,471 votes.
