MQM Chief Altaf Hussain has been facing serious charges of involvement in Imran Farooq’s murder case and he has been questioned number of times for money laundering as well. On the other hand number of MQM workers is in the custody of rangers for involving in serious crimes and Ex- MQM target killers Saulat Mirza has also given his key statement against MQM for involving in all the criminal activities in Karachi.
Altaf Hussain has not been absolved from Money laundering cases and today London police recorded his statement at a police station in central London.
Altaf left his home in northwest London earlier accompanied by MQM leaders Babar Ghauri, Farooq Sattar, other members of the Rabita Committee, and his legal team, to visit the police station on Tuesday at 10:00am London time in relation to a money laundering investigation conducted by the London Metropolitan Police. At the police station, Hussain will either be charged or granted bail. If the police have gathered enough evidence against him, it would be possible to charge him, but if they are dissatisfied with the evidence, they may grant him bail.
It seems that MQM has been confined systematically both in UK and Pakistan. If Altaf Hussain has been arrested today, it would certainly be a great blow back for the party who has already been trying to clear the mess in Pakistan.
