The “Baghi” Javed Hashmir who is known for his struggle against dictatorship in Pakistan and has written a wonderful book on his struggle name “ Han main Baghi Hoon” has proved himself Baghi and after leaving PML-N, he also bid goodbye to PTI. During long marches and Sit-Ins, Hashmi hurled serious allegations against PTI leadership and spelt the beans by accusing PTI on dancing the tunes of third force. After sever differences from party leadership, Javed Hasmi left the PTI, however time and again he has issued number of statements against PTI. In a recent statement, Veteran politician Javed Hashmi said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) is being used in the Karachi by-elections by the forces looking for a solution to the issues of the city. He said there was no doubt the Muttahida Qaumi Movement will win the elections and Jamaat-i-Islami bag the second position, reported by Dawn.
Hashmi’s previous assertions may be true but this time Hashmi is totally wrong as being a self-proclaimed defender of democracy, Javed Hashmi must realize that elections are integral part of democracy and contesting elections is the right of any political party. Furthermore, until two party’s would contest election and would give a tough to each other, they would never improve their performance because of being fear of rejection. Another important aspect of the by-elections in Karachi is that it would help people to break the fear of MQM. PTI has indeed given courage to speak up against the alleged tyrannies of MQM that has been winning election from this constituency consecutively. Javed Hashmi must not issue such statements that stigmatize his democratic career.
