Pakistan has been facing an unnerving degree of Terrorism. Since last decade Pakistan has been worst hit by this menace. Once a serene and peaceful country is now labeled as a land of terrorism. These handful terrorists have not only disrupted the lives of peace-loving citizens but also maligned this peaceful country among the comity of nations. It is unfortunate that a peaceful country has turned into a hub of terrorist activites. Today’s breaking news could be a suicide blast in some Hazara or Shia neighborhood, shrine worshippers blown up, a dozen college students gunned down, a massacre of mountaineers, or the discovery of mutilated and beheaded corpses somewhere. Under the false indoctrination, these terrorists are also damaging the image of Islam across the world. They are acting in the name of religion may misunderstand their religion or practice it wrongly because Islam is the religion of peace and compassion. The holy Quran says” Whoever kills a person, it is as though he has killed the entire humanity and Whoever saves a life, it is as he has saved the entire humanity. In another place Holy Quran says “According to the Qur’an, one of the greatest sins is to kill a human being who has committed no fault.” Thus Islam is very much clear about the killing of innocent people. Thus the version of Islam they are offering and portraying is quite contrary to the true teachings of Islam.
Terrorists want to destroy this beautiful land; they want to kill the millions of whims and dreams. They want to besiege millions of Pakistanis by the barrel of the gun. They want to gouge out the dream of prosperous, developed and a thriving Pakistan. Pakistan is a country that has been attained after countless sacrifices. Millions of Muslims rendered sacrifices for this pure homeland and it is our duty to protect it. We must be firm and determined to fight out terrorism and extremism in any form and in its any manifestation to safe this country. We must know that it is war of narratives not the war of guns and bullets and together we would have to change the narratives. We will have to fight out the mindset that radicalizes the people. Our duty is to change that mindset that radicalizes people and spreads false information and wrong teachings about Islam.
