Dating back to the Safavid era (1501-1736), Shafi’ieh Seminary School is located in Isfahan. An inscription at the gate of the center names Mohammad Shafi’ Esfahani as its founder. It also contains the name of Shah Abbas II (1642-1966).
The seminary has been listed as a national heritage in October 1997.
