SHAFAQNA PAKISTAN (Shia News Agency)
The Foreign Office (FO) in a statement on Tuesday said that efforts to root out terrorists as part of Operation Zarb-e-Azab were continuing in full form.
FO spokesperson Tasneem Aslam reiterated and made clear that Pakistan was against all forms of terrorism and that India’s motive of continued and unprovoked firing at the Working Boundary was in fact meant to divert Pakistan’s focus and efforts away from the war on terror.
She said that the Indian claims about Pakistan blowing up and sinking their vessel in a recent incident was also part of this scheme.
She went on to say that India should refrain from trying to malign the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Pakistan on January 3, rejected an Indian claim that the crew of a Pakistani fishing boat blew up and sank their vessel after trying to evade capture at the hands of the Indian navy in a high-speed chase at sea.
On Monday, India once again violated the ceasefire when the country’s border security force opened gunfire and mortar shelling along the Working Boundary in Shakargarh sector.
