A four-member Pakistan golf contingent, including the nation’s top-ranked amateur golfer Numan Ilyas, is set to compete in the prestigious Asian Amateur Championship from October 3 to 6 at the Taiheiyo Golf Club in Gotemba, Japan. The event is organized by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) and will feature a 72-hole stroke play format.
The Pakistani team comprises Numan Ilyas, Hussain Hamid, Salman Jehangir, and Qasim Ali Khan. These golfers have earned their spots in the competition based on their impressive rankings, with all of them positioned among the top 100 players in Asia, according to the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
The championship is considered one of the most significant golf events in the region, offering an excellent opportunity for the Pakistani golfers to showcase their talent on an international stage.
