It has been learned that in Tehsil Jand of District bordering to KPK is facing sever threats of terrorism but Police seems reluctant to take action against terrorist elements. Couple of days ago sever firing carried by unknown terrorist in the main city of Jand and despite several complains to SHO Jand no action was taken. After firing fear prevailed in the area. Despite taking concrete measures to avert any untoward incident, Police is busy in making money by arresting and teasing innocent people. Rather than providing protection to common citizens, Police station Jand has become a symbol of fear for layman in the city. SHO Jand is behaving like God father of the area and is severely misusing his power by even arresting innocent children in fabricated cases to mint money.
It should be mentioned that Jand is bordering city of District Attock just 12 KM away from KPK and in the past it has faced a bomb blast and several other incidents of terrorism including stabbing of schools girls and killing of several people.
People of the area are living under severe threats as after intense military campaign against terrorists, this areas is rapidly becoming a heaven for the terrorists to hole in. Just 113 KM away from Garrison city of Rawalpindi, it is quite a suitable place of the terrorists to reach out metropolitan and carry out their nefarious designs. If negligence of Police continues, it may give rise to a serious security threat for the Capital and metropolitan city Rawalpindi.
