Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has inaugurated the Ali Mubarak Rabia Al Kuwari Mosque in Fereej Kulaib to better serve the expanding community.

Spanning 639 square meters, the new mosque can accommodate 198 worshippers, as per an official statement reported by Gulf Times on Saturday. It features a main prayer hall for 126 worshippers, along with a mezzanine-level hall that can host 72 individuals. The mosque is registered as MS M.S. 237.

The mosque features a spacious ablution area, accessible entrances, and dedicated parking spaces for persons with disabilities. Additional facilities include residences for both the imam and the muezzin.

This opening is part of Awqaf’s broader initiative to increase the number of mosques nationwide, aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030.

The Department of Engineering Affairs oversees mosque design and maintenance, focusing on heritage preservation and sustainable construction. Awqaf’s website provides location-based navigation to facilitate access to mosques across Qatar.

Through this initiative, Awqaf aims to ensure that worship spaces are accessible and supportive of Qatar’s urban and population growth.
