The incumbent government of Tayyip Erdogan is famous for its brutality and violating human laws. His government not only suppressed all voices of dissent but also curbed the media. Since 2013 Erdogan regime crushed the protesters by force and world witnessed a worst violence by Turkish police. On Tuesday, two militants of a radical leftist group, the Marxist Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C), which has been characterised as a proscribed terrorist organisation by both Turkey. Fifteen-year-old Berkin Elvan went into a coma after the injuries he sustained during the police’s attack and passed away in March 2014. The recent events of police brutality on protests by the blind and farmers against the government’s negligence towards their poor conditions of living and working in Punjab, show that there is not much difference between the Pakistani and Turkish security forces in terms of overreacting to peaceful protests against the unjust policies of the state. Where Punjab’s chief minister claim to follow metro buses model from Turkey, he also seems to copy brutal torture model by Turkish police. Both Receipe Tayep Erdogan and Shahbaz Sharif claim to be democratic leaders but they are worst autocrats in the cloak of democracy.
