After the gruesome incident of Army Public School, there is an atmosphere of fear among parents and children. In wake of looming security threats Govt has extended winter vacation of all the schools twice almost stretching these leaves to one month while their actual period is one week. A cleanup operation to purge the terrorists has been launched and Government is trying to anticipate backlash of this operation. But closing schools gives a message that Government is afraid of and closed all the schools thus in other words terrorists have succeeded in their agenda.
There are almost 70,000 Government schools across the Punjab and almost double private institutes, Can Government secure all the schools for a long period???? If not then would Government permanently close all the schools???? And the third option is that Government is sure to eliminate this filth in a month, which is quite impossible. When all the three options are nil, why Government is wasting student’s time. They have to certainly open schools if not today certainly tomorrow and threat will be still there. Government should not give a message that due to fear we have closed our schools. Pakistani’s are a brave nation and they are not afraid of anyone.
