Gold and silver prices saw a notable drop across Pakistan on Saturday, mirroring the declining trend in the international bullion market.
According to figures from local sarafa (bullion) markets, the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,600 per tola, now standing at Rs422,562. The rate for 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs1,372, bringing it down to Rs362,278.
Following a similar trajectory, 24-karat silver prices dipped as well, decreasing by Rs65 per tola to settle at Rs5,127.
Meanwhile, in the international market, gold prices slid by $16 per ounce, bringing the new rate to $4,002 per ounce.
Traders attributed the fall to global market corrections and a stronger dollar, which collectively influenced precious metal rates in Pakistan’s domestic markets.
