42 Indian pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia bus-tanker accident

A tragic accident occurred on Monday when a bus carrying Indian Umrah pilgrims traveling from Makkah to Madinah collided with an oil tanker, resulting in the deaths of 42 people.

Local authorities rushed to the scene, and rescue operations are ongoing. The exact number of fatalities and the identities of the victims are still being verified.

According to Indian media reports, 16 of the victims were from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state.

The bus reportedly had 43 passengers on board, including 20 women and 11 children. Only one person from the group is reported to have survived the accident.

The Indian Consulate in Jeddah has set up a helpline following the accident.
