Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has entered into a landmark cargo interline agreement with Biman Bangladesh Airlines to streamline the flow of air freight between the two countries. The arrangement is set to take effect on December 1, 2025.

As part of the agreement, the major Saudi cities of Jeddah, Madinah, and Riyadh will serve as key transit hubs, establishing a strategic route that is expected to enhance regional trade.

According to officials, the collaboration will help overcome existing logistical hurdles, enabling quicker and more efficient transport of high-value commodities such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural goods.

Both airlines will leverage their extensive networks to provide high-quality, cost-effective cargo solutions.

PIA officials emphasized that the agreement will allow Pakistani exporters and importers to tap into one of the most efficient cargo services in the region, giving them a competitive edge.

“This collaboration is a game-changer for regional commerce,” said a PIA spokesperson. “By working hand-in-hand with Biman, we aim to open new doors for trade and ensure our cargo services are top-notch and affordable.”

The agreement reflects a growing trend among South Asian carriers to join forces and streamline logistics, benefiting businesses and consumers alike.
