FO Holds Afghan Government Responsible for US Shooting, Tajik Border Drone Strike

The Foreign Office stated on Friday that the recent shooting incident in the United States reflects the global resurgence of terrorism, while the responsibility for the killing of three Chinese nationals in Tajikistan rests with Afghanistan.

Speaking at the weekly press briefing, the Foreign Office spokesperson called the Washington attack “tragic” and said, “Pakistan condemns this incident. Our sympathies are with those who lost their lives.”

He added that the incident highlights the global threat posed by terrorism and urged the international community to take measures to curb Afghan-based terrorism. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the slain soldier,” he said.

He expressed sorrow with the people and government over the killing of three Chinese nationals in the drone attack in Tajikistan, and emphasized that Afghanistan must prevent terrorism from operating from its soil.

The Foreign Office spokesperson condemned the statement by the Indian Defence Minister regarding Sindh, saying that Rajnath’s statement “is a blatant violation of international laws.”

He said “the statements are based on delusion. Pakistan supports the peaceful resolution of issues, but will make no compromise on its defence.”
