Israeli human rights organizations on Tuesday (02 Dec 2025) described 2025 as the “deadliest and most destructive” year for Palestinians, noting that Israel has doubled the killing and displacement of civilians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
The report stated, “In 2023 and 2024, serious violations were documented in Gaza during the Israeli military operations, but in 2025 the situation worsened sharply, with the death toll nearly doubling, widespread displacement across the enclave, and hunger becoming a leading cause of mass fatalities.”
The groups added that “violations once considered exceptional at the start of the war have now become routine.”
They concluded that the second year of the conflict in Gaza has been the deadliest and most destructive for Palestinians since 1967.
