Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir underscored that the Pakistan Army remains fully vigilant and committed to addressing both internal and external challenges, including hostile hybrid warfare, extremist ideologies, and divisive forces attempting to destabilise the country.
He made these remarks while interacting with officers and soldiers during his visit to the Gujranwala and Sialkot Garrisons. Upon his arrival, the field marshal was given a detailed briefing on the formation’s operational preparedness as well as key initiatives aimed at enhancing combat readiness.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir also observed a field training exercise and toured an advanced simulator training facility. He praised the formation for its high professional standards, effective training regime, and overall state of operational readiness.
Emphasizing the significance of technological adaptability, he noted that modern warfare demands agility, precision, situational awareness and swift decision-making.
The COAS & CDF lauded their high morale and steadfast commitment to national security while underscoring the importance of rigorous and mission-oriented training.
Earlier on his arrival at Gujranwala, the field marshal was received by Corps Commander Gujranwala.
