Claims of Taliban Military Production at Bagram Air Base Exposed

Claims by the Taliban regime about manufacturing military equipment at Bagram Air Base have been exposed as false propaganda.

According to foreign media reports, satellite imagery and other evidence confirm that the Taliban are neither producing fighter aircraft nor manufacturing armored vehicles at the facility.

The report notes that the group has simply repainted non-operational aircraft and outdated armored vehicles and positioned them on the runway, later showcasing them on social media as part of a propaganda effort.

As misleading content, the Taliban have also shared videos of military drills, aircraft “repairs,” and military parades on social media.

The report further notes that certain research and interest groups in the United States are closely monitoring activities at Bagram Air Base, particularly due to concerns over US weapons and military equipment left behind in Afghanistan.

It is worth recalling that US President Donald Trump has previously called for the return of control over Bagram Air Base.

The US Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) has already disclosed that military equipment worth approximately $7.1 billion was left in Afghanistan during the American withdrawal.

According to media reports, the Taliban are relying on irregular and armed groups to meet their security needs, a development that has raised concerns at the international level.
