India defeated Pakistan by 90 runs in the fifth match of the Under-19 Asia Cup.
Chasing a target of 241, Pakistan’s Under-19 team was dismissed for 150 in the 42nd over. Hazifa Ahsan top-scored with 70 runs, while captain Farhan Yousuf made 23 and Usman Khan added 16. No other Pakistani batter managed to reach double figures.
Earlier, in the match played at the ICC Cricket Academy in Dubai, Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. India were bowled out for 240 in 41.1 overs.
Indian batsmen scored as follows: Ayush Mhatre 38, Vaibhav Suryavanshi 5, Vihaan Malhotra 12, Vedant Trivedi 7, Abhigyan Kundu 22, Aaron George 85, Khilan Patel 6, Kanishk Chouhan 46, Henil Patel 12, and Deepesh Devendran 1.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Sayyam and Abdul Subhan took 3 wickets each, Niqab Shafiq claimed 2, while Ali Raza and Ahmed Hussain took 1 wicket each.
It is worth noting that due to rain, the toss was delayed and the match was reduced to 49 overs per side.
