Security forces successfully neutralized 11 Indian-backed terrorists in two separate operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the actions targeted members of the terrorist group “Fitna Al Khwari” and took place on 8 January 2026.
In North Waziristan, security forces carried out an intelligence-driven operation. During the engagement, troops confronted the terrorists’ positions, and following a fierce exchange of fire, six militants were killed.
Meanwhile, a joint operation by police and security forces in Kurram district led to another firefight, resulting in the elimination of five more militants.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian sponsored militants, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces, law enforcement agencies and target killing of innocent civilians.
ISPR said sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorists found in the area.
It added that relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
