‘Inspired Gambit-2026’: Pakistan-US Military Drill Kicks Off in Pabbi

The 13th Pakistan–United States bilateral joint exercise, Inspired Gambit–2026, officially began at the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Pabbi.

The two-week exercise, focused on counter-terrorism (CT), involves specialized units from both the Pakistani and U.S. armies, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Saturday.

Officials from both countries attended the opening ceremony.

The exercise aims to strengthen mutual understanding and interoperability by exchanging counter-terrorism expertise, while refining tactics, techniques, and procedures critical for effective CT operations.

Special emphasis is being placed on urban warfare marksmanship, as well as on learning each other’s operational doctrines and best practices.

Such joint training exercises are of vital importance in addressing evolving security challenges, improving professional military standards, and strengthening the capacity of both forces to operate in complex counter-terrorism environments.

Inspired Gambit–2026 reflects the continued commitment of Pakistan and the United States towards collaborative efforts for peace and stability.
