Shafaqna Pakistan: Protests have erupted in India over alleged tampering, forgery, and systematic manipulation of voter lists, with demonstrators accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of electoral interference.
Ahead of elections in West Bengal, public anger has intensified, with reports of citizens surrounding judicial officials accused of enabling irregularities in the process.
According to The Times of India, tensions in the state have escalated during the special revision of voter rolls. In Malda district, protesters reportedly besieged offices and held seven judicial officers confined for several hours.
The demonstrations are driven by claims that names are being removed from voter lists before the elections, with the confinement of officials reflecting growing distrust and frustration over the integrity of the electoral process.
Experts say that the intense protests and acts of disruption in West Bengal indicate that citizens have recognized what they see as manipulative tactics under the Modi government.
Alleged tampering with voter lists during Modi’s administration is being viewed as a direct attempt to suppress public opinion and impose authoritarian control.
