Shafaqna Pakistan: Ukraine struck the Bilorichenska coal mine in the Russian-controlled Luhansk region, damaging a power substation and leaving 41 miners trapped underground, a Russian-installed official said on Monday.
Leonid Pasechnik, the Moscow-appointed head of the region, said emergency services were working to rescue the miners and restore electricity to the site.
He added that contact had been established with those trapped, who also have access to drinking water.
