Shafaqna Pakistan: Nawaz Sharif, President of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), expressed optimism that the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran could mark a significant step toward global stability.
In a statement shared on the social media platform X, he lauded Pakistan’s leadership for its diplomatic role in preventing a major international crisis.
He specifically praised Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their “extraordinary diplomatic efforts” in securing the ceasefire.
“I sincerely appreciate the remarkable role played in averting a major global crisis and ensuring the ceasefire,” he added.
Nawaz Sharif also praised the leadership of both Iran and the United States for choosing peace and statesmanship, expressing hope that the development would lead to lasting global stability.
The former prime minister added that the ceasefire could serve as a significant step towards sustainable peace at the international level.
The development comes amid growing recognition of Pakistan’s mediation role during the recent tensions between Iran and the United States, with observers viewing it as a positive outcome of the country’s foreign policy.
