Shafaqna Pakistan: Barrister Salman Safdar held a 50-minute meeting with the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Wednesday.
Sources said the PTI founder was brought from his cell to the jail’s conference room for the meeting, which was conducted in accordance with orders issued by the Islamabad High Court.
Barrister Safdar had petitioned the court for permission to consult his client regarding the Al-Qadir Trust case, and the court subsequently instructed jail authorities to facilitate the session.
Sources said the purpose of the meeting was to consult on legal strategy ahead of key appeals in the Al-Qadir case, which are currently under hearing at the Islamabad High Court.
Following the meeting, Barrister Salman Safdar left the jail premises without speaking to the media.
