Hajj 2026: 3,510 Pakistanis leave for Saudi Arabia as Hajj operation gathers pace

Shafaqna Pakistan: The Hajj flight operation for 2026 is progressing steadily across Pakistan, with pilgrim departures continuing from multiple cities under the government and private arrangements.

According to a spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, 5,250 government-sponsored pilgrims have already arrived in Medina through 21 flights.

On Tuesday, a further 3,510 pilgrims are scheduled to depart for Saudi Arabia on 13 flights. These include four flights from Islamabad, while Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Quetta will each operate two flights. One additional flight is set to depart from Sialkot.

The ministry added that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), along with Saudia, Airblue, and AirSial, is part of the operation to facilitate smooth, timely, and comfortable travel for pilgrims heading for Hajj.

Meanwhile, arrangements are ongoing at 10 Hajj camps across the country, where pilgrims are being provided with training, travel documents, and vaccinations in phases. Authorities say special measures have been implemented to ensure smooth operations.

To assist pilgrims throughout their journey, staff from the Ministry of Religious Affairs are stationed stage.

The spokesperson added that the Hajj flight operation will continue without interruption until May 31, with thousands more pilgrims expected to depart for the holy land in the coming days.
