Shafaqna Pakistan: Hyderabad Kingsmen secured an eight-wicket victory over Multan Sultans in the first Eliminator of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
Chasing a target of 160, the Kingsmen comfortably reached the total in the 16th over, losing just two wickets along the way.
Muaz Sadaqat led the chase with a match-winning unbeaten 64 off 33 deliveries. Wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan also made a strong contribution, scoring an attacking 64 runs that included three sixes and eight fours.
Captain Marnus Labuschagne added 11 runs, while Saim Ayub remained unbeaten on 15 to help guide the team to victory.
For Multan Sultans, Steve Smith and Muhammad Ismail picked up one wicket each.
Earlier, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Multan Sultans posted 159 for 9 in their 20 overs after being put into bat.
Shan Masood top-scored with an unbeaten 67, while Mohammad Nawaz made 18, Sahibzada Farhan 15, and Steve Smith 13.
Captain Ashton Turner and Peter Siddle managed 9 runs each, while Josh Philippe scored 6, Faisal Akram 4, Mohammad Imran 2, and Arafat Minhas 1. Muhammad Ismail remained not out on 1.
For Hyderabad Kingsmen, Muhammad Ali, Hunain Shah, and Aqib Javed claimed two wickets each, while Saim Ayub and Glenn Maxwell picked up one wicket apiece.
