Hindutva ideology linked to alleged crimes in IIOJK

Shafaqna Pakistan: Allegations of serious human rights abuses against minorities in India, particularly Muslims, continue to draw concern, with critics describing them as a troubling chapter in the country’s history.

Following the Pahalgam incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has faced criticism for policies and actions that observers say have intensified pressure on Muslim communities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Reports and statements from various quarters allege that extremist elements aligned with Hindutva ideology have been emboldened, while members of the Bharatiya Janata Party have been accused by critics of using inflammatory rhetoric against Muslims in the region.

Leaders in occupied Kashmir have also raised concerns over the reported detention of around 2,000 individuals and incidents of violence, while critics say that increased security measures have contributed to a climate of fear, including difficulties faced by Kashmiri students studying in different parts of India.
