Shafaqna Pakistan: A suicide attack targeting a Pakistan Army check post in South Waziristan was thwarted, though seven civilians were injured in the incident.
Reports said militants attempted to strike a military post in the Azam Warsak area using an explosives-laden vehicle.
Security forces, maintaining a high state of alert, intercepted the vehicle and destroyed it before it could reach the installation.
The swift response averted a potentially larger tragedy, and the attacker was killed during the operation.
Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
Hospital officials confirmed that seven injured civilians were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Wana for treatment.
