Shafaqna Pakistan: In 2025, a report by the Institute for Social Policy and Understanding (ISPU), a research organisation focused on Muslim Americans, found that 63% of Muslims in the United States reported experiencing religious discrimination.
The findings suggest that U.S. military involvement in the Middle East has often been associated with a rise in discrimination against Muslim and Arab communities within the country. Analysts note that conflicts in the region can contribute to increased Islamophobia—defined as fear or hostility toward Muslims—in the United States.
Some Muslim community leaders in the U.S. have also warned that as regional conflicts intensify, Muslim and Arab populations could face heightened levels of hostility and social tension.
Fouad Berry, a board member at the Islamic Institute of Knowledge in Dearborn, Michigan, said that the community center and mosque is heightening security because of the war.
