Aleema Khan demands push for Imran’s release and medical care

Shafaqna Pakistan: Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan called for pressure to ensure his medical treatment and release.

Speaking to the media at Adiala Road, she said the family wants his treatment to take place in their presence, preferably at Shifa International Hospital.

She added that it is the responsibility of his political party to push for proper medical care and the timely hearing of appeals related to him and his wife, Bushra Bibi.

Aleema Khan said only party office-bearers had been asked to mobilise, noting that the involvement of senior leadership could help activate the organisation.

She claimed that several party workers had been detained in recent weeks, while elected representatives were released.

She further stated that both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been in solitary confinement for seven months, stressing the need for legal proceedings and medical attention.

Calling for peaceful pressure and resistance within constitutional limits, she urged parliamentarians and party leaders to raise their voices.
