Shafaqna Pakistan: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives caused by devastating floods and extreme weather in Turkiye, extending condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people.
In a post on X, he said, “On behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, as well as on my own behalf, I extend heartfelt condolences to my dear brother Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the brotherly people of Turkiye.”
He noted that the floods and severe weather affected provinces including Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, and Adiyaman, along with nearby regions, resulting in the loss of lives and property.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s support, the prime minister said, “Pakistan stands in full solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Turkiye in this hour of grief.”
“Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, and all those affected by this natural calamity,” he added.
PM Shehbaz also assured that, “Pakistan stands ready to render any humanitarian or material assistance that Turkiye may require in its relief and recovery efforts”.
