Araghchi says Iran aims for fair, comprehensive US deal

Shafaqna Pakistan:  Wang Yi, China’s Foreign Minister, has described military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran as “illegitimate” during a meeting in Beijing with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, according to reports.

Wang said the Middle East is at a “decisive turning point” and stressed that a comprehensive ceasefire is “indispensable” for ensuring regional stability.

He also reaffirmed Beijing’s commitment to de-escalation efforts, adding that direct dialogue between the parties involved is essential.

Araghchi, in turn, expressed appreciation for China’s “firm position,” particularly its condemnation of the US-Israel war, and said cooperation between Tehran and Beijing would continue to strengthen.

Speaking on the occasion, FM Araqchi told his counterpart that Iran only looking for a “fair and comprehensive” agreement with US.
