Shafaqna Pakistan: Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu has said that the role of the Pakistan Air Force in national defence is “historic” and will be remembered in golden words, stating that the force delivered a strong message to the enemy “from Srinagar to Bathinda.”
Referring to the events of May 6–7 last year, he said India launched attacks on Pakistan after accusing Islamabad of involvement in an incident in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, allegations Pakistan rejected as baseless. He added that Pakistan responded forcefully to the aggression.
The confrontation, which lasted more than 80 hours, ended on May 10 following intervention by the United States. According to Pakistani claims, several Indian jets and drones were downed during the conflict, while Pakistan’s role was portrayed domestically as that of a “net regional stabiliser.”
Speaking at a ceremony held at Air Headquarters to mark one year of Marka-e-Haq victory, the Air Chief paid tribute to Pakistan Air Force personnel for a decisive response to Indian aggression.
He said that following the Pahalgam false flag opertaion, India made baseless accusations against Pakistan, adding that Islamabad had offered neutral and independent investigations.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu stated that the Pakistan Air Force had inflicted significant damage on India’s air defence systems and played a key role in delivering a “crushing defeat” to the adversary.
He said that all enemy installations were targeted by the Pakistan Air Force, the S-400 air defense system was destroyed in a matter of moments.
The Air Chief also praised Pakistan’s cyber capabilities, saying that the country’s “cyber warriors” had disrupted enemy cyber defences. , advanced electronic warfare, drone operations, and air power were effectively used during the conflict.
He congratulated personnel for their performance and said the force had demonstrated exceptional capability in air, electronic, and cyber warfare domains, reaffirming that the Pakistan Air Force remains the guardian of the country’s airspace.
