When Pakistan started Cricket, it soon became one of the best sides of the world. Pakistan produced renowned crickets like Hanif Muhammad, Majid Khan, Javed Miandad, Waseem Raja etc. They all showed their capabilities and brought good name to Pakistan. However in 1992, Imran khan gave Pakistan cricket a new dimension and that was quality of aggressive cricket. It was the quality that made Pakistan 1992 world cup champion. But just after 5 years there a decline, Since 1992 Six world cups have been played and only in World cup Pakistan could reach to final and badly lost to Australia. It is the time when Pakistan’s cricket was marred by one controversy after another from spot fixing to attacks on first the Kiwi and then Sri Lankan teams, leading to an end of any international cricket in Pakistan. Pakistani cricket has not been able to recover completely from that gloom yet.
Infact problem is not with talent, Pakistan has great talent than any country of the world, the problem is politics. The interference of political players in cricket board and appointment of incompetent and non-professional people by nepotism has made the situation worse. If incompetent and non-professional people continued to reign in PCB, one day Pakistan cricket team would be worse even than UAE. Wining matches and cups is a national pride and Pakistan premier should focus on declining performance of cricket team and focus on to resolve issued related to PCB and players.
