The Pakistan Aviation Authority (PAA) has announced the arrival of the first Hajj return flight at Islamabad International Airport, marking the commencement of the post-Hajj repatriation operation.
According to the authority, flight PK-742 landed at 7:15pm, bringing 165 pilgrims back to Pakistan. Its arrival officially signalled the start of the Hajj return operation at Islamabad Airport.
The PAA stated that the repatriation of pilgrims will continue in accordance with the scheduled plan until June 30.
On June 1, Islamabad is expected to receive five Hajj return flights, while four flights each are scheduled to arrive in Karachi and Lahore. Additionally, three flights each will land in Multan and Sialkot, two in Faisalabad, and one in Quetta.
During the post-Hajj operation, a total of 119,000 pilgrims who performed Hajj under the government scheme will be brought back home through 471 flights. The operation involves coordination between Pakistani government, private, and Saudi airlines.
