Shafaqna Pakistan:- The preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem has strongly condemned an Israeli bill that would permit authorities to ban the Muslim call to prayer.
In a statement, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri said that the issue of the call to prayer has resurfaced following several unsuccessful attempts in the past to prohibit it or restrict its volume.
He noted that previous efforts to limit the Islamic call to prayer had failed, and expressed concern over renewed attempts to introduce legislation that could impose such restrictions.
