Shafaqna Pakistan: A growing funding shortfall is putting vital humanitarian assistance at risk in Afghanistan, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
In a post on X, OCHA Afghanistan said that humanitarian organizations had received only around 16 percent of the funding needed for the country’s 2026 humanitarian response plan by the end of May.
The agency warned that the widening gap in financial support could severely affect the delivery of life-saving aid and essential services to millions of vulnerable people across Afghanistan.
