Shafaqna Pakistan: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Sunday, where the two sides discussed the ongoing U.S.–Iran negotiation process and broader regional developments.
According to Iranian media reports, the talks focused on diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions, including mediation efforts and recent shifts affecting regional stability.
The discussions took place amid intensified diplomatic engagement surrounding stalled negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Earlier, Pakistan’s envoy also held talks with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, during which both sides exchanged views on ceasefire-related efforts and broader dialogue aimed at easing regional tensions.
Speaking to the media, Naqvi said he had travelled to Iran carrying a special letter from Pakistan’s Field Marshal for Iran’s Supreme Leader, as well as a message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the Iranian leadership.
He expressed hope that diplomatic efforts by Pakistan’s leadership would contribute to easing the current crisis, and praised the role of senior Iranian officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Araghchi and Interior Minister Momeni, in pursuing dialogue and regional stability.
The visit underscores ongoing diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Tehran as both countries seek to support peaceful solutions to regional challenges.
