Shafaqna Pakistan: An explosion in southwestern China killed seven people and injured 17 others early Thursday, according to local authorities, who have launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.
The blast occurred at approximately 1:40 a.m. in Xingan, located in the mountainous Guangxi region, an area known for its mineral resources and agricultural production.
Officials said the 17 injured victims were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities added that none of those injured were reported to be in critical condition.
Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the explosion and have stated that a gas pipeline incident has been ruled out as a possible source of the blast.
