Shafaqna Pakistan: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the supply of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the direction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Following the prime minister’s instructions, the Ministry of National Food Security has finalised arrangements to ensure the timely delivery of wheat to the province. Officials said the move reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining food availability across all regions.
Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain said the decision demonstrates the prime minister’s pro-people approach, adding that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive wheat at the officially fixed price at the beginning of the wheat season.
He further noted that the federal government is continuing efforts to ensure the supply of affordable wheat to the public through targeted policy measures.
Authorities said the move is aimed at maintaining stable wheat availability and supporting consumers across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the upcoming season.
